The Ivybridge Rail User's Group was formed to protect and improve rail services for Ivybridge. We also work to ensure the station provides safety, security and information to enhance the environment at the station.
The group was very proactive in campaigning against the cuts in rail services announced by FGW in February 2006. These cuts affected many areas over the South and South West rail network. Many of these cuts were subsequently reversed. However there were other places where there have been cuts in services. We support the campaigns in other areas, where  cuts are planned to take place. We support the further expansion of the rail services across the South West.

Our campaign actively promotes the use of train travel wherever possible, instead of using cars . We do not advocate using buses as replacements for existing train services but do recognise the importance of buses in a transport infrastructure.
